Karrion Kross made an immediate impact on the Black and Gold brand and defeated Keith Lee to become the WWE NXT Champion. However, his reign was cut short as an injury forced him to relinquish the title before making his first defense.

While Kross has been away from NXT, a lot has changed on the Black & Gold brand. Finn Balor is the new NXT Champion, while Damian Priest is the reigning NXT North American Champion. With WWE NXT Halloween Havoc coming up in a couple of weeks, a lot can change for better or worse.

Kross and Scarlett have been teasing their return for the past several weeks, and we could see Kross return to competition sooner than later. NXT Halloween Havoc could be the perfect stage for a man like Kross to return, and we could see Scarlett appear to tease just that this week.

On this week’s show, Scarlett could appear to send a warning to Kross’ next target.

This would hype the NXT Universe once again while giving the brand something new to build on while Balor recovers from his jaw fracture.
