Roman Reigns had become a big name in WWE by the time the Universal Championship was introduced in 2016. He spent a long time trying to capture the belt, and he finally won his first Universal Championship at SummerSlam 2018 by defeating his arch-rival, Brock Lesnar.
Roman Reigns later vacated the title because he had to take time off from WWE TV due to his battle with leukemia. Reigns made a big return on the road to WrestleMania 35. This time around though, WWE played it smart and kept him away from the main event scene for a long time.
In 2020, Reigns took time off again and didn't appear on TV for several months. He made his buzzworthy return at SummerSlam and turned heel in the process. Reigns won the Universal Championship at WWE Payback 2020, and he has held the belt ever since. No one has managed to defeat him for the belt yet.
John Cena has never held the Universal Championship, but he finally has the opportunity to win the coveted belt for the first time in his career at SummerSlam 2021.

He has interviewed prominent pro wrestling personalities like Noam Dar, Angry Miz Girl, Brendan Cobbina, and Jesse Lambert. Abhilash is a big fan of AEW star Orange Cassidy, as he believes the former International Champion’s on-screen gimmick of an extremely lazy guy resonates with him.
Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
When not reporting on pro wrestling, Abhilash likes to work out, go on walks, read, and explore new eateries.
