Roman Reigns eliminated The Undertaker from the 2017 Royal Rumble match and The Phenom subsequently stared him down from ringside with cold, dead eyes. The WWE Universe knew at the time that these two behemoths were set to collide soon. At WrestleMania 33, Roman Reigns faced The Undertaker in the main event of the night.
The match wasn't anything special, and it was clear as day that The Undertaker was way past his prime. Still, in the end, Reigns hit a devastating Spear on The Deadman and pinned him while thousands of fans watched in disbelief.

The Undertaker had previously lost to Brock Lesnar at The Show of Shows in 2014, and his loss to Reigns only made things worse. With this loss, The Undertaker's WrestleMania record fell to 23-2.
A year later, John Cena got the opportunity to do exactly what Reigns did when he faced The Undertaker in one of the biggest matches in WrestleMania history. But the contest didn't even last three minutes, and it was incredibly underwhelming. The Undertaker squashed Cena in a forgettable match that night. As a result, Reigns, unlike Cena, can say he has beaten The Undertaker at WWE's biggest show of the year.

He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback.
