WWE currently has a pay-per-view deal with Saudi Arabia and the company loves to have legends on those pay-per-view events. Hence, it is unlikely that the Creative would allow Roman Reigns to retire Goldberg. After losing the title, WWE could bring him back after some time when the second Saudi show of the year approaches.

Usually, the feuds involving legends seem a bit rushed. To avoid this, WWE could plant seeds for one big-money match by having NXT Superstar Matt Riddle show up at WrestleMania 36. WWE can have him interfere and alter the result of the match to kickstart a feud between the up-and-coming star and the legend.

Everyone knows about the real-life heat between the two Superstars. Riddle has often criticized Goldberg on Twitter and they even had a small confrontation backstage. Given that Goldberg still has a few matches left in him, the company should insert him in a rivalry with Riddle. As WrestleMania is happening at the Performance Center, not much explanation will be required for the fans as to why Riddle interfered in the Universal Championship match.
