Last week on NXT, the brand hosted a big women’s gauntlet match to determine who’d be the final entrant in the No. 1 Contender’s Ladder Match on this week’s show. While Shotzi Blackheart outperformed all the other competitors, it was Dakota Kai who arrived with her bodyguard Raquel Gonzalez and picked up the victory by pinning Blackheart.

This week on the show, we will watch Mia Yim, Tegan Nox, Chelsea Green, Io Shirai, Candice LeRae, and Kai battle it out to become the No.1 contender for the NXT Women’s Championship.

At WrestleMania 36, Charlotte Flair stunned the entire WWE Universe once again as she made Rhea Ripley tap out to the Figure Eight. Ripley took a lot of punishment to her knee during the match.

While there are a few women deserving of a shot at Flair first in NXT, Mia Yim has never managed to get this good a shot. Her case is aided by the fact that she is playing a good babyface character.

Yim deserves to win a big match on NXT, especially with her performances in the past and with the movie ‘The Main Event’ hitting Netflix soon. This will help her get some focus and get a big match against the biggest female Superstar in WWE while helping the ratings of the movie that she’s starring in.

This new babyface vs veteran heel clash could give the Black & Gold brand showcase the talent it’s got to the entire industry.
