#2 Not building stories to the next PPV
One thing that WWE has lacked lately is storylines to build feuds and get the audience invested in them. AEW won over fans with the stories woven into the matches, especially the match between Dustin Rhodes and Cody Rhodes.
WWE will have to build stories, tease potential feuds, and make the overall product a little more interesting for the next PPV, Stomping Grounds. Due to the nature of WWE programming, where there are one if not two PPVs every month, it gives Superstars very little time on RAW or SmackDown to build a long, interesting story.
The battle royal could be one match where potential feuds could be teased between two Superstars, while there is also a possibility of a Superstar returning from injury or hiatus to interfere and build a feud.
