Rusev Day were one of the most over teams in the WWE, but never really got the back up from the management. They failed to win the tag championships each time they contended for it. Cracks developed within the group when Aiden's interferences started costing Rusev his matches.
Finally, few episodes ago, Aiden confessed his infatuation towards Lana after he beat-down Rusev. Aiden went on to claim that things have happened between him and Lana through his Night in Milwaukee segments, which was later debunked by Lana.
Last week at SmackDown 1000, Rusev competed against The Miz in a World Cup qualifying match. Aiden interfered, costing Rusev the match, and a chance to qualify for the World Cup.
This resulted in a match announced for this week's episode between Rusev and Aiden English. Would this mark the end of their rivalry? Or is this going to lead to something greater? Perhaps the rumored heel turn by Lana.
