Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H are easily two of the biggest Superstars of the Attitude Era in WWE. They have had several classic matches in the company and despite being involved in a lot of feuds, they never faced each other at WrestleMania.

The two have even won the tag-team titles together (by beating the Brothers of Destruction at Backlash in 2001). Adding to that, they have faced each other in several pay-per-views like Backlash, Survivor Series, No Way Out and even SummerSlam.

A match between the two at WrestleMania would have been main event worthy without a doubt and it is a surprise that WWE never considered it. It is too late now and Stone Cold Steve Austin has made it clear that he has no plans of returning to the ring.

In the end, it looks like their match at No Mercy 1999 or SummerSlam that same year will go down in history as the best match involving both of them.
