Triple H is a product of the Attitude Era. In those days, stars were often given points they had to cover during a promo, giving them the room to improvise and allow their characters to truly shine through. It can be argued that today, the room for improvisation and creativity for the Superstars has reduced, as they are given entire promos to deliver in front of live audiences.

It has made it more difficult for Superstars to get over, because the fans sometimes get segments that use terms like 'Suffering Succotash', and end up doing more harm than good to a Superstar. Triple H will likely move back to the older approach of promos, which will possibly give WWE programming a more spontaneous feel.
