There were several moments when the live crowd chanted "please don't go" at him, as Seth Rollins stated how they had tried it already. The look on the face of Moxley during those moments told the whole story. He genuinely wanted to go somewhere he could actually be properly used, even though WWE paid him very well. It was never about the money for him.
Did you know a top WWE Superstar just wrestled outside the company? More details HERE
His appearance at Double Or Nothing, plus this backstage promo made one thing very clear: Moxley seems to be happy to be where he's at! When he uttered those words, 'I'm alive', one could see the passion in his voice and the intensity he exuded. He didn't need to smile or grin at us to show how happy he is at the moment. This promo, and Moxley's demeanor, did it in a much better manner.

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
