It has been almost four months that WWE 2K17 has been on the shelves and by the end of this week, it will be available for PC as well. Not only has the latest offering in the company’s video game series sold tons of copies, but a bunch more will be off the shelves in the coming weeks.
It’s not much of a surprise. Although the game is not perfect, it is a truly immersive experience that eats up a lot of hours. There’s enough programmed into the package, but gamers have been left asking for more.
It is no doubt a great game, but there is always a better one, a newer one just round the corner. By the latter half of this year, we will get our hands on the brand new 2K18. Of course, the newer version will be packed in with improvements and new additions.

Here are 5 things that WWE 2K18 must include in order to really upgrade the overall user experience.
#1 Get rid of the glitches
The worst thing about WWE 2K17 is, by far, is that there are numerous glitches. In every single match, you will encounter some sort of bizarre bug.
Sometimes it is the commentary that just doesn’t go along with the gameplay, while at other times you will find wrestlers getting locked in an animation or, randomly teleporting around the ring, clipping through the ring, and even getting busted wide open while carrying out a taunt in the case of Heath Slater.
Games have always had a few glitches, but in the case of WWE 2K17, there are too many. These glitches could easily be ironed out by even the most basic level of quality assurance.
#2 Kurt Angle Showcase Mode (Please, please!)
The Brock Lesnar-starring 2K Showcase mode originally planned for 2K17 was eventually abandoned, due to some issues of character rights, much to the dismay of the fans.
However, this time around things are looking up for the wrestling fans and gamers alike. There have been persistent rumours that Kurt Angle will be making some sort of a WWE return (possibly in a GM/managerial capacity). It could be an exciting proposition to have him as 2K18's cover athlete and star of the game's hopefully-restored Showcase.
Angle's illustrious career speaks for itself and keeping in mind the trend for legendary cover wrestlers to appear on WWE programming (Goldberg, Warrior and Sting) as well as the prior success of the Showcase, this could be a huge decision to bolster the precious pre-order sales.
#3 Be fair with DLC charges
It is unlikely that 2K will stop charging for DLC features but they really need to ensure that the charges for the same are both fair and worth it.
When you have to pay DLC for the likes of Austin Aries and The Club, who have barely been in WWE for six months, it is not fair at all. It’s just a cheap way to take more money from the fans as evidently, the character models were completed alongside the rest of the roster. Also, given how simple a feature it is, one should not have to pay for the Accelerator, right?
Yeah, we know this won’t happen but certainly, we can hope. Wouldn’t it be a more reasonable approach for 2K to charge a little less for DLC and not gouge and exploit the fanbase?
#4 Proper weight detection
A big complaint from the most enthusiastic gamers, weight detection is still utterly ridiculous in the latest instalment of the game.
It is absolutely bizarre when AJ Styles is giving a Styles Clash to someone like The Big Show quite easily and Bayley does not struggle the slightest to give the Belly to Bayley to someone like Nia Jax. It looks very stupid and if there was proper implementation, gamers could have applied more strategies, much like real-life, to the matches.
Probably there should be an alternate finisher or signature move in such cases.
#5 Bring back the GM Mode
SmackDown! vs. RAW 2006 saw the General Manager Mode being introduced. However, despite being an undeniable favourite among fans it was promptly discontinued by the 2009 edition.
Every gamer who has played this mode is well aware of how addictive this is. It was loads of fun to get to take part in the Draft and with much larger rosters than the recent instalments, it was very enjoyable. The Universal mode is good but it’s not the same as the GM mode. A new and improved GM mode along with a bigger roster might just be what the 2K18 needs.
Given how recently the Draft took place, it is understandable why the mode didn't make it into 2K17. However, it is an absolutely necessary inclusion for the next instalment should 2K want to capitalise on a golden opportunity.
