5 things we wanted from WWE this week and what they delivered (6th September, 2018)

#4 The Shield vs Braun Strowman feud to escalate

The Shield have made many enemies

What we wanted to see: The Shield reunion got the WWE a lot of attention and garnered a huge positive reaction from the crowd. The company seem to have struck gold with reuniting Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose for the third time. Now we just needed them to build on it.

Plus, with Strowman turning heel last week, we needed the WWE to cement that position and truly make him the perfect foil to the incredibly popular babyface faction. Otherwise, the storyline ran the risk of being hijacked by fans who still cheer for Strowman and boo Roman Reigns.

What they delivered: An entire episode geared around getting the Shield over as maverick anti-authority figures with the brawl to kick things off, then the Shield getting arrested, then appearing in the police van to save Finn Balor. The crowd cheered loudly when that happened.

And then Bam! Strowman and his new allies Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre cemented themselves as the perfect opponents for the Shield by outmaneuvering them, leading an ambush with the help of the rest of the locker room! It was great and really worked in putting Strowman over as a bad guy
