This might be a bit of a controversial point but Finn Balor’s Demon persona is something far beyond Bobby Lashley. For starters, why Balor thought it was necessary to bring out his superb alter-ego for someone like Lashley and not Lesnar (at Royal Rumble) is a question that needs a clear answer.

Nevertheless, he decided to unleash the Demon at WrestleMania, so he had to win – and win it did.

However, there is an intrigue surrounding the Demon avatar. After all, it was the first character to win the WWE Universal Title (coincidentally against current holder Seth Rollins) after its inception.

So, it is safe to claim that the Demon is a special character. Even the commentator hyped it when Balor powerbombed Lashley. However, the Almighty – no matter how big and mighty he is – is no match for the Demon.

And it should have been shown exactly in that light via a squash win for Balor.
