#2 The Beast’s squash
WWE had been doing increasingly well building up the clash between Brock Lesnar and Ricochet. Lesnar has historically had good matches against smaller opponents, and fans were expecting the high-flying Ricochet to give Lesnar a tough time in Saudi Arabia, even if he was going to lose.
As the two men squared off in the ring, Lesnar swatted The One and Only out of mid-air during a dropkick and it was all over for Ricochet from thereon. Ricochet was sent on a one-way trip to Suplex City, after which Lesnar hit a thunderous F5 to pick up the victory in under two minutes.
This was disappointing for some fans, but it seems like WWE made the right booking at the right time. Ricochet is a great wrestler and could have given Lesnar a tough time, but they weren’t going to let The Beast be taken off his feet by a rising star.
Instead, they did the right thing by taking down the determined Superstar and allowed Lesnar a very quick victory in order to build him on his way to WrestleMania. If this remains Lesnar’s last match till he squares off with Drew McIntyre, then The Beast and his Advocate will have something to brag about and remind the fans until McIntyre eventually defeats him.
