Goldberg got the better of The Fiend

We asked for it, and WWE delivered!

The legendary Goldberg returned to SmackDown this week to main-event the show. He drew an enormous reaction, as expected, and went on to talk about his match before The Firefly Fun House interrupted.

Bray Wyatt continued his usual show before Golberg cut him off and claimed that he wasn’t there for silly talk and wanted to take the Universal Championship instead.

Wyatt told the Goldberg that he did not know him and that he won’t be taking anything away from The Fiend. He introduced all the members of the Firefly Funhouse to Goldberg before saying that there was one more person left for him to meet.

The lights went out and The Fiend stood behind Goldberg once they came back on again. Before The Fiend could do anything, Goldberg planted him with a Spear and left him on the mat. The Fiend got back up, looked at his opponent for Super ShowDown, and the lights went out again for him to disappear.

This was a great segment that built towards the massive slash for Thursday in the simplest way. We know that nothing can scare Goldberg, and The Fiend’s attempt proved to do nothing to the former Universal Champion.

How will the two perform once the opening bell rings? We’ll need to wait to find out.
