Otis won the 2020 Money in the Bank contract earlier this year, which was the shock that WWE was looking for at the time. The issue right now is the fact that the company needs to follow through on Otis being Mr. Money in the Bank and actually allow him to cash in.
Otis hasn't been on WWE TV very much over the past few months and is still embroiled in a feud with The Miz and John Morrison. It's hard to believe that Otis would be able to challenge Roman Reigns or Drew McIntyre for their Championships in the coming months, which means that Otis is left with no plans despite being Mr. Money in the Bank.
The current feud with Miz makes it appear as though Otis could be set to lose his contract to the former World Champion or that he would be unsuccessful in his cash in. It feels like WWE wanted a surprise winner but has now just wasted the Money in the Bank contract because the creative team has no idea how to build towards a cash in for Otis.
