If WWE was aware of Becky Lynch's pregnancy ahead of WrestleMania, then Shayna Baszler would have become Women's Champion. Instead, Baszler was defeated in one of the biggest matches of her career and has spent the rest of the year trying to repair.
Baszler should have been pushed towards Asuka and the RAW Women's Championship in recent months, but instead, she's embroiled in a feud with Nia Jax, which has since led to a WWE Tag Team Championship reign.
This has now left Asuka without a challenger at Clash of Champions, but there's nothing stopping Baszler from also challenging for the RAW Women's Championship and pulling double duty at a WWE pay-per-view.
The former MMA star was one of the most dominant female wrestlers in NXT history at one point. Her showdown with Asuka is one that has been hotly anticipated, but at present, Baszler is being wasted in a feud in the Women's Tag Team Division.
It looks like Zelina Vega will challenge Asuka for the RAW Women's Championship at Clash of Champions, but it should be Baszler that is challenging for that title.
