What was WWE thinking?

That had to be the question on The WWE Universe's mind, when Charlotte Flair eliminated Shayna Baszler to win The Royal Rumble, but it could actually be a clever storytelling device. It might even be enough for the company to make an unprecedented move and have Flair challenge Baszler for The NXT title.

Of course some are going to see that being ridiculous, especially since The Queen could easily take on Becky Lynch or Bayley for their respective titles, but what would be the fun of that? Furthermore, how popular of a move would that be compared to Charlotte coming back to NXT and starting a program with Baszler?

Not only would it be a great ratings boost for NXT, which is another feather in the company's cap, it also would do a lot to help build up The NXT Women's division . As if all that wasn't reason enough to execute something like this, just think about how this unprecedented move would shake the fans to their very core!

In the end, this is something WWE hasn't done yet and it would go a long way in surprising the fans from the get go. It is also arguably WWE's best chance at eventually bringing Baszler to Raw Or SmackDown, which fans have been waiting forever for.
