Drew McIntyre might just be WWE's new top babyface

While Drew McIntyre never made it past the mid-card during his first couple of runs with WWE, all that might change after winning The Royal Rumble Sunday Night. The WWE even seems to have him locked in for a match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36, but it is going to take some work to get there.

With that being said and WWE already starting to play up the fact that McIntyre has been let go by company in the past, it makes perfect sense for them to continue this narrative. The company could even up the ante by having Lesnar call McIntyre's victory a fluke and refusing to take him on for the WWE Title.

Or maybe WWE could go for broke and have Cain Velasquez make a surprise return for one last shot at Lesnar's title. Not only will this addition seemingly push McIntyre into afterthought status, which would be very useful, it also gives him more of a mountain to climb in order to fulfill his destiny
