5 things WWE must accomplish at Survivor Series

#1 Make NXT look strong

Will WWE have NXT win or look strong in defeat at Survivor Series?

Did WWE just book themselves into a corner?

It certainly seems that way after how strongly they have booked NXT over the last couple of weeks and it's going to look pretty bad if they have them come up short at Survivor Series. Another problem for WWE is outside competition, which also makes what they do at Sunday's pay per view even more important.

Triple H is likely behind much of the creative direction that NXT has taken lately, and he has two options when it comes to Survivor Series. The first option is a straight up victory for NXT and would go a long way in establishing the brand heading into the winter months.

The downside of that however is that it makes RAW and SmackDown, who are WWE's longstanding creations, look weak in comparison. Triple H's second option is to have NXT lose on Sunday, but give them an out out so they look strong in defeat. Either way though, WWE needs to avoid making NXT look weak at all costs.

Whether that happens from an outright win or by creating a storyline angle that is interesting enough to keep fans engaged, WWE needs to do something to protect the brand going forward.
