#1. Pete Dunne showed Tony D’Angelo who’s boss on WWE NXT

After weeks of build-up, Tony D’Angelo and Pete Dunne finally competed in the main event of WWE NXT. D’Angelo took the upper hand early and delivered a big suplex that nearly injured Dunne’s neck.

The newer superstar stomped Dunne on the mat before The Bruiserweight made a comeback. He delivered some kicks to weaken his opponent. Tony fought back with a clothesline followed by another great German Suplex.

Dunne found it difficult to overpower D’Angelo. He worked on his fingers and punished his small joints in hopes of getting back in the contest.

D’Angelo pulled out a crowbar, but Dunne locked him into an armbar. The rookie broke free and pulled out Dunne’s mouthguard. He went for his finisher, but The Bruiserweight snapped his fingers and hit the Bitter End to pick up the victory.

After the match, D’Angelo laid out Dunne with a swinging neck breaker and broke Dunne’s fingers with the crowbar. It looks like the rivalry between the two men will bleed into New Year’s Evil. It was a good plan to hand D’Angelo his first loss against a former champion and take the storyline forward.
