Xia Li and Tian Sha marked Mercedes Martinez on WWE NXT, leading to a match between Li and Martinez at TakeOver: In Your House.

The grudge match kicked off with both women taking the fight out of the ring. Martinez used her power to control the contest, but Li got back in the action with her superior wrestling skills.

Li sent Martinez into the ring post and then used it to stretch her opponent. Soon after, Martinez sent Li into the ring post and nearly picked up a count-out victory.

After some more action, Li nailed Martinez with an impressive kick out of nowhere for the win. Boa helped Li throughout the match by distracting Martinez. However, Li herself did a fantastic job and was the better star in the match.

After the match, Martinez unloaded with a steel chair and knocked out Li and Boa. She had a long staredown with Tian Sha before the masked leader grabbed her by the throat. She threw Martinez off the NXT stage to end the segment.

Li has been the glue holding this gimmick together. Li or Boa haven't achieved much as part of the villainous faction. However, it looks like Li will get a push out of the entire storyline. She could turn out to be a great contender for the NXT Women’s Champion at some point in the future.
