The Million Dollar Championship returned to WWE at NXT TakeOver: In Your House. Escorted by two guards, Ted DiBiase came out to hang the Million Dollar Championship high above the NXT ring.

LA Knight and Cameron Grimes came out for the match and got down to business immediately. Grimes gained the upper hand early before Knight knocked him down and brought the first ladder into the ring.

The Technical Savage nearly got hit by the ladder a few times before Knight finally got the better of him. He sent Grimes into the ladder with a vicious release German Suplex.

The two men continued to use the ladder from thereon and progressed to bigger spots.

Grimes brought a gold ladder into the ring and both men climbed the opposite sides. They brawled until Grimes knocked Knight off the ladder. However, he knocked the ladder over to prevent Grimes from winning the belt.

Finally, Knight tipped over a ladder to send Grimes crashing into another before climbing up and retrieving the briefcase with the belt.

It was a good contest that allowed both men to shine. While The Million Dollar Championship could have helped elevate Grimes’ gimmick, it looks like NXT will give Knight a push.

The Technical Savage could move to the main roster soon. Meanwhile, Knight could prove to be a top contender for the NXT North American Championship.
