#1 Karrion Kross choked out Kyle O’Reilly at NXT TakeOver: In Your House

The main event of NXT TakeOver: In Your House saw Karrion Kross defend his title against four top superstars. Johnny Gargano, Kyle O’Reilly, Pete Dunne, and Adam Cole made their way to the ring in hopes of winning the NXT Championship.
The match started off with all five superstars showing off their various skills. The action did not slow down throughout the contest, and Kross’ four opponents teamed up at times to tried and take the champion out.
Gargano and Dunne showed Kross through the front door of the stage, hoping to take him out of the equation. All four challengers got back in the NXT ring and continued to pair up for different spots.
The Herald of Doomsday returned to the ring minutes later and dismantled all four NXT Superstars. There were many great spots throughout the contest that made the match a treat to watch.
Cole and O’Reilly even worked together for some time to take Kross out of the equation. However, Kross ultimately choked O’Reilly out with the Kross Jacket to retain the NXT Championship.
Some fans were expecting Kross to drop the title at TakeOver and move to the main roster soon after. However, it looks like KOR or Cole could move to the main roster following the contest, while Kross will march on as the top champion of NXT.
