5 things WWE NXT got right this week (15th June 2021): Samoa Joe returns; Ted DiBiase attacked

#2 Cameron Grimes saved Ted DiBiase; Io Shirai and Zoey Stark teamed up again on WWE NXT

LA Knight defeated Cameron Grimes to win the Million Dollar Championship at WWE NXT TakeOver: In Your House. Ted DiBiase appeared this week to set the stage for Knight’s celebration ceremony.

The Million Dollar Man put the title on Knight’s shoulder. Suddenly, the heel knocked DiBiase down with a big right hand, telling him that he had all he needed.

He continued to assault DiBiase before Cameron Grimes arrived to take out Knight and save the Hall of Famer. While Knight has the Million Dollar Championship, it looks like Grimes will have DiBiase by his side going forward. This rivalry will likely go on for longer in NXT.

Later on, Io Shirai walked out to announce who she wanted to face next. Candice LeRae interrupted the former NXT Women’s Champion and made it clear that she needed to go to the back of the line.

Indi Hartwell attacked The Genius of the Sky from behind. Hartwell and LeRae set up Shirai on the table for an elbow drop. However, Zoey Stark came out to help Shirai and the two babyfaces cleared the ring.

NXT seems to be heading towards a rivalry between the Women’s Tag Team Champions and the team of Stark and Shirai. Both superstars are extremely talented and could do a lot with the tag team titles around their waists.
