#1 Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher stole the show on WWE NXT

The main event of WWE NXT saw The Grizzled Young Veterans take on Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher in a grudge match. Ciampa and Thatcher attacked Zack Gibson and James Drake as they made their entrance.
GYV gained the upper hand early in the match and used some great tag team tactics to ground their opponents.

Ciampa and Thatcher took back control of the match and started dominating GYV. The Blackheart accidentally nailed Thatcher with a big boot. However, they recovered and Ciampa hit a top-rope Air Raid Crash for a near fall.
Toothless Timothy got in on the action soon after and tried to take Gibson out. However, Drake got involved to hit a tag team maneuver to nearly put him away before Ciampa made the save.
GYV tried to put Ciampa through the announce table. Instead, Ciampa sent Gibson through it with a big drop. Inside the ring, Ciampa hit Drake with the Fairy Tale Ending before making him tap out to a tag team armbar/ankle lock submission hold.
It was a fantastic match that showed what NXT is all about. All four men gave their best to show just how good they are in the ring. If it wasn’t for MSK, Ciampa and Thatcher would be the NXT Tag Team Champions right now. However, it looks like they will win the titles sooner rather than later.
