The main event of WWE NXT this week saw 'The Colossal' Bronson Reed take on Johnny Gargano inside a steel cage. Gargano was confident that he would be able to retain his NXT North American Championship on Tuesday night.

Gargano tried to exit the cage immediately, but Reed caught him before he could escape. Things got worse for Johnny Wrestling from there as Reed used his power to slam him around the cage.

Gargano gained control of the match after he tripped Reed off the top rope. Theory continued to try and help Gargano from outside the ring but could not do much.

Both men exchanged some explosive moves, and Gargano leveled Reed with a top rope powerbomb. Theory nearly managed to help Gargano escape the cage before Reed took him down.

After a couple of near falls late in the match, Reed powerbombed Gargano and then squashed him with a springboard splash into the Tsunami to pick up the victory. This was the biggest victory of Reed’s WWE career.

The NXT Superstar worked hard for this moment and finally, it all paid off for him. The two men had great chemistry in the ring and delivered fantastic performances inside the steel cage.

The Colossal One deserved this big moment, and he got to celebrate with his wife after the match. This made the victory so much more special for the NXT Universe.
