#1 Apollo Crews’ impressive victory on RAW for his first Championship in WWE

WWE loves building towards underdog victories that have the ‘feel-good’ factor for the fans, and that is exactly what they did this week as Apollo Crews got another shot at the United States Championship held by Andrade on RAW.

Crews had competed for the title on RAW before Money in the Bank but an injury sustained mid-match halted his progress and took him out of the Money in the Bank Ladder Match too.

However, he was much fitter and more focused this week as he took on Andrade with Zelina Vega at ringside.

The two men had a great match where they both got their spots to shine and did not slow down the action at any point. Apollo got to show his power to the entire RAW locker room once again as he pulled off impressive power moves to keep El Idolo on the ropes.

A kick from Crews sent Andrade into Vega who went crashing to the floor from the apron, giving rise to more tensions between Vega’s heel faction.

Crews ended the match with a series of moves as he took down Andrade with a press slam, a standing moonsault, and a shooting star press to pick up the victory and become RAW’s new United States Champion.

Is Crews on his way to a long Championship reign on RAW?

This is Crews’ first Championship victory in WWE, and fans know exactly how hard he has worked for it. The backing from the audience worked well in his favor as he got to enjoy the moment a bit more.

We hope that the new babyface Champion gets to keep the title for some months before he loses it to someone like Angel Garza or Austin Theory after a good rivalry.
