For those of you who may have slept through their English classes, a pronoun is a word that can be used instead of someone's name, for ease and convenience (he said this, she did that, I will go, etc).

But according to Mick Foley, McMahon despises pronouns being used on WWE TV, insisting that all commentators call wrestlers by their names, an accepted abbreviation of that name, or by some kind of established nickname.

In his 2010 book, 'Countdown to Lockdown', the Hardcore legend says that this has left many commentators who have used a pronoun reeling, as they get a verbal battering in their headsets from the chairman of the board.

Hopefully, the offending commentators have learned their lessons, even if the lack of pronouns can lead to some very awkward moments behind the commentary desk.
