As much as the company hates to admit it, the Shield's return has been completely predictable and pathetic; leading to such reduced ratings and viewership.

Since Vince McMahon has always established Roman Reigns as the top guy on Monday Night Raw, continuing to be the only saviour for the Hounds of Justice is becoming repetitive and disappointing.

While the fans despise the Big Dog's entire push, legions of WWE fans love the Shield because of Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, and the fact that the company always finds a way to insert Roman into the frame to save the day is diminishing the factions' entire credibility.

Judging by what transpired tonight, both Ambrose and Rollins fell apart multiple times only to be brought back by the Universal Champion, and that is the biggest reason why the Shield's return doesn't seem organic.
