The whole Kevin Owens-New Day feel-good storyline was something very new for fans. Considering the ruthless heel he once was, fans were predicting Owens to turn on the New Day and challenge Kofi for the WWE Championship.

And the same is exactly what happened, as Owens turned on his so-called team in the main event of SmackDown, giving another lesson to everyone that KO isn't the guy one should trust. He's not a trustworthy guy in the least, and Kofi would now agree to this for sure.

Kevin's return as a face was weird as he is a natural heel and no matter how good he portrays himself, fans would always want him to turn heel and ruthlessly beat-up his opponent. A heel KO is best for business. Other than Lars Sullivan and Randy Orton, I don't see anyone else stepping up to challenge the WWE Champion Kofi Kingston for his first title defense.
