#2 Chad Gable is getting pushed

A huge win for Gable
A huge win for Gable

Despite beating Baron Corbin and getting his revenge, Chad Gable didn't end the night as he would have wanted to. After Kayla Braxton "appropriately" called him Shorty (despite being shorter than him).

Gable was proud of it and gave Corbin a taste of his own medicine by joking about him "coming off short". However, Corbin attacked Gable when he wasn't looking. He threw him from wall to wall and their rivalry will continue.

Why WWE would want heat on Corbin for this particular night after the match, we don't know, but this seemingly confirms the rumors that Chad Gable is getting pushed. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter said:

"Even though Gable is doing this gimmick that screams undercard babyface, we’re told Vince [McMahon] really likes and appreciates him and considers this a push."

This seemingly confirms that Gable is getting pushed. Despite being the King of the Ring runner-up, it appears that Gable has been benefiting more recently than Corbin. Although he did get a segment against The Rock, he ended up flat on his back and it didn't give him a good look.
