The blue brand had the last main roster show going into WWE Evolution, and while we had a lot of hopes and expectations from it, the show delivered on some options and failed on some at the same time.
Vince McMahon and team tried to put on a great show, but except some segments, the others failed miserably. The 'Miz TV' segment went well, and it was the most loved segment of the show. Apart from this segment, there was nothing really worthwhile on the blue brand.
The promo by Shane O'Mac did no good to the brand and ratings, and it sounded like a bad segment too. The WWE Universe, however, make it clear that they still love the 'Straight Edge' superstar and he must be given an opportunity to come back to the show.
While this was a good moment, here are 5 things that the WWE told us during the show:
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
#5 AJ Styles versus Daniel Bryan will hype up slowly
The feud between these two babyfaces has been building up slowly, and the company is in no rush to blow things up in a rush. The fans loved the fact that they would see 'The Phenomenal' wrestler face off against 'The Leader of the Yes Movement' inside the ring, but the company doesn't want to entice fans a lot by making these two wrestlers exchange blows before the time is right.
It is expected that by the time Survivor Series comes around, these two will be in a heated feud and we may see them exchange blows.
#4 Rusev storyline will still be dragged
A storyline that started off well doomed due to poor writing, and if the match this week is any indication it seems like the company will keep dragging this story. The company had better options like making this storyline about 'Rusev Day' franchise and merchandise, but it seems like the WWE creative isn't interested in making these two wrestlers and the female performer in this storyline look better.
This has been a segment that isn't loved by fans anymore, and they want some real work between these two wrestlers, but the company isn't paying any heed to fan response. It would be better if Lana is put into the mix wherein she becomes the manager of the winner of the match between her husband Rusev and Aiden English.
#3 Another boring storyline continues
The two wrestlers in this storyline have a past, and while it looked good during the early days, this story has also become obscure. These two are great performers and have Hall Of Fame worthy careers, but it would be great if they use it to build some careers.
Tye Dillinger is a phenomenal wrestler, and when Randy Orton went against him, the fans were enticed and intrigued about the outcome of this storyline.
The story was cut short, and the company came back to these two wrestlers that have no heat or hype, just a general moment and no fan involvement. It is about time that 'The Viper' uplifts the career of 'Perfect 10' while Jeff Hardy could fight with Andrade Cien Almas.
These two up-and-coming wrestlers are good at their work and giving them a chance will be 'Best for Business' as well as their careers.
#2 Rey Mysterio is The Miz's next opponent
The Miz was not involved in any storyline, and after he lost his match at WWE Super Show-Down as well as the #1 contender opportunity against AJ Styles, he had no opponent for his storyline.
'The Most Must-See' wrestler is known for his mic skills and this week he invited the high-flyer Rey Mysterio to his show. After a verbal attack, he was on the receiving end of some action from the returning Mexican Superstar. The high-flyer has not been in the WWE for a long time, but it seems like he may be the next opponent for the 'Awesome' superstar.
Rey Mysterio may be a part of the storyline until WWE's Crown Jewel, and when these two collide at the Saudi Arabia event, we may see some great moves out of the arsenal of these two great performers which would be a treat for the fans worldwide.
#1 This feud is getting better
Becky Lynch has lived her heel character to the fullest, and it must be believed that the WWE officials are happy with her work, especially Vince McMahon.
WWE CEO and Chairman isn't impressed by performers so easily, but it seems like Becky made the cut, and has impressed the most difficult man to impress in the WWE. The brawl with Charlotte Flair last week at WWE Performance Center was another such moment.
The brawl was a great way to build up their feud for WWE Evolution, and that is one of the reasons the company didn't bring them face to face on Tuesday Nights. These two have redefined the landscape of the women's division on the blue brand, and if they keep performing this way, we are in for a treat down the line with amazing storylines.
