Kofi Kingston has had a phenomenal 2019, having won the WWE Championship for the first time, and in quite spectacular fashion. His WrestleMania run was one of the best storylines in recent times, but the way he lost his title shocked fans.

Kingston lost the title to Brock Lesnar on SmackDown's debut on FOX, mere seconds after the match began. Many fans wondered what would happen to Kofi's singles career, and their worst fears have been confirmed in a way - Kofi is back to being a tag team star.

With Xavier Woods' injury, which will keep him out for a while, WWE has brought back Kofi to tag team wrestling, and he will most likely be a tag team star partnering with Big E until the return of Woods.

Kingston and Big E faced off against Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode on SmackDown this week, with the former losing it after Kingston was pinned in the match.

Big E and Kingston will be one of the 9 teams to be a part of the tag team turmoil match at Crown Jewel, which happens this Thursday.

Michael Cole revealed on SmackDown that Kofi Kingston and Big E will face off against SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Revival on next week's SmackDown, which could be a feud that goes on for a while to rebuild the SmackDown tag team division.

It's a pity that Kofi Kingston is no longer going to compete as a singles star, especially after the magical year he has had in the WWE. A lot of fans hope that WWE puts him in the race for a top Championship down the line.
