Lacey Evans has had quite a meteoric rise since being called up to the main roster last year. Evans feuded with RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch after the Champion won the title at WrestleMania earlier this year.

She had a few opportunities but could not defeat Lynch to win the title, but it seems that she could be in line for a shot at the SmackDown Women's title sometime in the future.

Evans squashed a local talent Cameron Connors, on SmackDown, after first telling her that she would not compete against her, before returning to the ring to land a Woman's Right and get the win. Evans' quick finish and win to her match hints at her being rebuilt to get back in the title picture after being drafted to SmackDown from RAW.

Bayley, the current SmackDown Women's Champion, is a heel, and it is unlikely that she will feud against another heel like Evans, which means that Evans will have to wait a while to actually get a chance.

But, her chance will come sometime in the future and a few wins for her could make her a strong opponent when she eventually gets her chance at the title.
