#4. With Samoa Joe challenging for the WWE title, the brand split is truly dead
For the last three years, the WWE Championship has been an integral part of SmackDown Live. It's the main World title there and because of that, RAW had to create the Universal Championship.
On RAW, Kofi Kingston pulled off back-to-back victories, defeating Sami Zayn and then narrowly defeating Kevin Owens via count-out. The night looked to end well for Kingston, who got the better of his rivals.
However, harsh reality struck him in a moment and Samoa Joe blindsided him, viciously sending him into the LED screen before choking him out. Since Samoa Joe is a RAW superstar, challenging for SmackDown's WWE title doesn't make much sense.
But with Alexa Bliss having just challenged for the SmackDown Women's title, it basically means that the brand split is officially 100% dead.
