#4 Why did Drew McIntyre vs Randy Orton at SummerSlam 2020 have such a weird finish?

Drew McIntyre vs Randy Orton was always going to be a methodical and technical match-up and that's what we saw between the two veterans at SummerSlam 2020. Competing for the WWE title at SummerSlam for the second year in a row, Randy Orton came closer than ever to becoming a 14-time World Champion and closing in on John Cena and Ric Flair's record.
The two faced off at SummerSlam 2020 in what we felt was a great match as a whole. If we were to rank the matches overall, this would likely fall at No.2 or No.3. There were no gimmicks needed and it was a straightforward wrestling match with some great storytelling.
There's a reason why Randy Orton wrestles the way he does and he matched up well with Drew McIntyre - who got what many feel is the biggest win of his WWE Championship run. However, their SummerSlam 2020 match ended with a sliding roll-up pin of sorts.
Not the best finish, but the likely reason behind the finish is to set up an immediate rematch at Payback 2020.
