But there's still plenty of things to discover about the current WWE Champion, and today, we're looking at 5 things you (probably) didn't know about AJ Styles.
He got in for the money
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
You may think that someone as naturally gifted as Styles, had always wanted to be a wrestler, and wasn't going to let anything stop him.
But according to interviews, AJ got into competing for the money. He later realized that the chances of making a living as a full-time wrestler are very slim, but by then, it was too late. Styles had fallen in love with wrestling, and the rest was history.
Interestingly, Styles often said he didn't stay in ROH (with CM Punk) because he had to look out for his family, implying that TNA paid better.
His son is named after his best friend
In TNA, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels were often bitter enemies, at each other's throats as they dazzled audiences in the X-Division.
But in real life, the two are best friends, and have made a unique pact that will forever bond the two.
In May 2005, Styles and his wife welcomed their first child, a boy. The pair decided to name him Ajay Covell Jones, a act of friendship to Daniels, whose real name is Daniel Covell.
Similarly, in October that same year, Daniels welcomed his first son, named Joshua Allen Covell, after Styles' real name, Allen Jones.
He was the first TNA superstar to top PWI 500
By 2010, Styles had become a tour-de-force in wrestling, and his accomplishments were appreciated by the magazine, Pro Wrestling Illustrated.
In 2010, he was selected as the number one star, on the magazine's annual top 500. In doing so, Styes became the first TNA wrestler to earn the honor.
Styles beat John Cena, who came 2nd, CM Punk (3rd), Randy Orton (4th) and Chris Jericho (5th) to claim the top spot.
He's a nerd
When not appearing on WWE TV, or competing at live shows, it can be difficult to fill the hours between events.
Styles has confessed to being an old-school-nerd, with a love for video games (both old and new) as well as the Harry Potter series.
The champ has said he loves playing old wrestling games though isn't a fan of the SmackDown Vs RAW series.
Instead, Styles is a big fan of the Nintendo 64.
He didn't like TNA towards the end of his run
It's funny to think, that the guy who was the poster-child for TNA Wrestling for so many years, could not have that many nice things to say about the company.
But Styles has often said that he does not have positive feelings about his former employers, with his final run in the company (where he talked about the mistreatment of talent) blurred the lines between fiction and reality.
Styles himself has admitted that when he left the company, he didn't shed a single tear, which contrasts greatly to when he left NJPW, where he says he could not stop crying.
