#4. She took care of her autistic brother
In the same podcast, Sasha Banks mentioned that her brother was autistic. Her family left Oregon in search of a better school, after her brother was bullied for his autism. Once the family arrived in Minnesota, things didn't get much better.
Her mother was unemployed at the time, and they lived in a hotel room for years. To make matters worse, she was teased relentlessly at school about her parents. When her mom finally landed a job, she boldly quit school at the age of 13 and took online courses at home. This allowed her to become her brother's full-time caregiver, a decision that helped her grow as a person.

She also mentions that she never experienced the things most other kids do in their teenage life. She promised her mom to do anything for the family and in return, wanted her help to get to a wrestling school. The rest, as they say, is history.
#3. Banks hid her marriage
Sasha Banks has been open in talking about her struggles during childhood, but one topic she isn't forthcoming about is her marriage to former wrestler and WWE costume designer Kid Mikaze. On Lillian Garcia's podcast in March 2017, she finally let the cat out of the bag. This was the first instance that Banks had acknowledged her marriage in any public setting, which was surprising.
She claimed that she hid her marriage because of some fans who go crazy about such things. She says that it hurts her when online trolls call her husband ugly or make statements about why he should not be with her.
It's easy to understand where she is coming from, as people these days often have no respect for one another. Many use the social media platform to spread hate and criticize others. Some fans obsess over WWE Superstars way too much and say hurtful things, forgetting that wrestlers are also human beings.
