The Monster Among Men attacking Michael Cole

This attack in itself was easily spotted and was carried out by Braun once Kurt Angle fired the Monster for his actions on the previous episode of Raw. The reason why this made sense from a storyline perspective is the inclusion of both 'JR' Jim Ross and Jerry 'The King' Lawler as the announce team at the 25th anniversary of Raw. This was a way to get Micheal Cole off television. Tom Phillips filling in for Cole for the remainder of the show was a sign of affirmation towards the eventual move away from Cole as lead announcer and Phillips as his replacement.
