Before going into the wrestling industry, Aiden studied at Chicago's Columbia College, and he graduated from the school in 2010. He majored in acting, which has always been his passion, with a heavy emphasis on stage combat.

While at the college he met up with Becky Lynch who was also studying acting. As fate would have it, the two would later become two of SmackDown's biggest names.
