Bobby Roode's original name was far from glorious

Not every WWE Superstar gets the perfect character name right at the start of their career.

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin, for example, was “The Ringmaster” when he first joined WWE, while Glenn Jacobs performed as Fake Diesel and Dr. Isaac Yankem before he became Kane in 1997.

In Bobby Roode’s case, he began his career in 1998 with a name that might surprise you: “Total” Lee Awesome!

Fortunately, his totally not awesome name didn’t stick around for long and he soon became known by his real name, Bobby Roode.
