#2 Bryan rightfully counted Nakamura during the Triangle submission
During the match, Nakamura locked Owens in a Triangle submission hold. Shane McMahon was eagerly waiting for Owens to submit.
However, the vigilant Daniel Bryan began the pinfall count as he realized that Nakamura’s both shoulders were touching the mat. This caused an argument between both the officials.
Notably, the rules suggest that a wrestler could be counted down to the mat for a pinfall, given both his shoulders touch the mat.
This has also once cost Shawn Michaels the World Heavyweight Championship when both his and Triple H’s (c) shoulders were counted to the mat. Eric Bischoff declared the match as a draw and Triple H retained his Championship.
