#1 She has a connection with WWE Legend Roddy Piper
In case you didn't know already, Rousey's favourite WWE Superstar is Roddy Piper. In fact, her 'Rowdy' nickname is a tribute to him. But originally she was reluctant to use 'Rowdy' as her nickname, as she felt it would be disrespectful to the legend. But after meeting Piper in 2012, she actually directly got permission from him to use 'Rowdy'.

But their connection just doesn't end here. She even dedicated her fight with Bethe Correia at UFC 190 to him, after Piper had passed away tragically just a few months back. Rousey won the fight in just 34 seconds, and it was a fitting tribute to the man who gave his own nickname to her.
Rousey again paid tribute to her hero when she made her first appearance in the WWE at the Royal Rumble earlier this year. The leather jacket that she wore on that night actually belonged to Roddy Piper, and was given to Rousey by his son.
