Someone covered in tattoos usually presents the appearance that they're capable of taking some extreme damage and Ruby Riot certainly lives up to that mystique.

When Riot took on Asuka at the Download Festival in June 2017, she never expected to get busted open by The Empress Of Tomorrow. But that's exactly what happened.

If WWE's medical staff hadn't intervened, something like a laceration requiring 5 stitches wouldn't have stopped Ruby Riot from performing in Leicestershire’s Donington Park. After all, she was going for Asuka's NXT Women's Championship at the time.

NXT used this injury in the storyline that built to Asuka retaining her title. Thankfully, Riot hasn't experienced a serious injury in her career so far. But it would take a lot to force someone like the Punk Rock Ragdoll to take a break from in-ring competition for any reason.
