#1. Chris Jericho mocks WWE creative in first AEW promo
Chris Jericho was a huge signing for AEW after the star's stint in WWE made him a household name throughout the late 90s and early 2000s. Despite being close friends with Vince McMahon at one point, the former WWE Champion was one of several AEW stars who fired shots at WWE in the early days of All Elite Wrestling.
Chris Jericho's first AEW promo allowed the then AEW World Champion to unveil his new group, called The Inner Circle, which included fellow former WWE Superstar, Jack Swagger. Now known as Jake Hager, Y2J attempted to introduce Hager to the AEW crowd, who started chanting "We The People."
'We The People' sucks. That is dead and buried. It was a stupid idea of a creative evil and all that is over.
This was the chant that would accompany The Real Americans who consisted of Jack Swagger and Cesaro in WWE. This chant allowed Jericho to go off on a rant about WWE creativity and how bad an idea We The People was.
