Braun Strowman decimated Roman Reigns at Payback 2017
WWE Payback 2020 will mark the renewal of Roman Reigns' iconic rivalry with Braun Strowman. However, this year's Payback PPV won't be the first time Strowman and Reigns will share the ring with each other at the event, as three years ago, the pair did so in a singles match.

WWE Payback 2017 was headlined by Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman, in a match which the WWE Universe wanted The Monster Among Men to decimate the former Universal Champion. This was evident by the fact that in the aftermath of Strowman's dominant win, the crowd even chanted "Thank you Strowman".

And as it turned out, that was exactly the case as Braun Strowman used the steel steps, the ring posts, and the announce table to his advantage.
