#2 Edge Wins the 'other' Triple Crown

Edge was the first wrestler to accomplish all three of the following: win a Royal Rumble match, win a King of the Ring tournament, and become Mr. Money in the Bank. These are three accomplishments not often grouped together by the WWE or even by fans, but are still highly prestigious in their own right.

Only three wrestlers have achieved this feat, Edge, Sheamus, and finally Brock Lesnar; those are some impressive people to be in the company of. The Ultimate Opportunist is the first person to accomplish this often-unknown feat, but it’s still a very impressive one.

#1 Edge is the first ever Money in the Bank Winner

At WrestleMania 21, Edge competed against five other men in the inaugural Money in the Bank ladder match. As is common knowledge now, the winner of the match gets a contract for a world title match anytime, anywhere.

By using his ladder match acumen to win the match, Edge was able to set a precedent for how to utilize that contract. Some theorized that Mr. Money in the Bank should set up the match in advance.

However, he surprised everyone by cashing in on a wounded John Cena at New Year’s Revolution in 2006. Edge made history by being the first person to cash in the Money in the Bank contract to win his first world championship.
