On a September episode of RAW, Roman Reigns laid out the challenge to Bray Wyatt for a singles match and despite the latter bringing out his Wyatt Family stablemates to the ring, The Big Dog managed to get into Wyatt's head and made things even prior to the start of the match. The two men then went to war in the ring, in what initially seemed like a normal singles bout.

However, things were quickly taken to the outside, as Reigns and Wyatt fought all over the arena, through the WWE Universe, before the former was driven through the barricade by Wyatt. By this point, the match had transitioned from a singles bout to an all-out brawl, and just when it seemed that Wyatt had gotten himself the upper hand, Roman Reigns speared his nemesis through the announce desk.
