It has become one of the biggest storylines in WWE history over the past few years and interestingly it wasn't even the company's idea.

The women of WWE were being treated as a joke back in 2015 and after matches that lasted less than two minutes the WWE Universe decided to start sharing the hashtag "GiveDivasAChance" this became a huge Social Media movement and according to Uproxx it allowed a number of female wrestlers to have airtime that they wouldn't have usually been given.

This later transformed into the Women's Revolution and included a number of NXT recruits, but whilst there are a number of women who are ready to stand up and claim that they are responsible for the Women's Revolution, it was actually because of the backing of the WWE Universe.
